Amity Rockwell’s Dirty Kanza ABLE

Amity Rockwell quickly hopped on her bike to knock out some openers out on the start and finish sections of the Dirty Kanza course. It was 6 pm, and she had spent the day juggling expo and media responsibilities, coupled with dialing in the fit and set up on her new ABLE. It was only 12 hours till the race start, but the openers weren’t going to do themselves. Almost exactly 24 hours later she would win Dirty Kanza.

The motor won DK, but we all still want to know what set up she was running. Below is the build in all it’s glory.

Amity spent 12 hours of brutal terrain on the ABLE in size XS. Fun fact: this bike was built in Emporia three days before the start, and she was still adjusting her fit right up to the last minute.

Easton reigns supreme on Amity’s ABLE, starting with the EC70 AX prototype wheelset and EC90 SL crank with direct mount chainring in 42T.

Easton completes the loop with EA90 ICM stem 90mm, EC90 SLX handlebars 38mm, and EC90 SL prototype seatpost.

Shimano rules the drivetrain with Ultegra Di2 shifters and hydraulic brakes, XT Di2 rear derailleur, 11/42 cassette, and Dura Ace rotors.
For additional storage and tools, she used the Silca Speed Capsule TT and Outershell seat bag. The OG Arundel Dave-O cages are her go-to, and Camelbak podium dirt series bottles. Amity rides the Specialized Power saddle.

That hot topic at DK – tires. Amity rolled the Schwalbe G-One All-around 38 and suffered zero flats.

Additional bits include the Bell Z20 MIPS helmet, Shimano XTR pedals, Castelli custom kit, Camelback Women’s Chase Vest, and 100% Speed Trap sunglasses.
