Dirty Kanza Rescheduled to September. Hear from Founder, Jim Cummins

With DK being rescheduled until September 2020, a virtual scheduling nightmare has emerged for professional and amateur athletes alike. Fall 2020 (if we are lucky with pandemic control) is going to be filled with gravel event all over the country on the same weekends as event organizers attempt to assume the last window before winter sets in. Unfortunately for existing Fall events, now an number of the goliaths like Dirty Kanza and BWR are settling into the fall. As gravel cyclists, it will be important that we do our part to fill the start lines of events of all sizes in order to make sure event organizers can be solvent for the 2021 racing calendar.

In addition to a conversation with Jim Cummins, I received comments from a number of professional and amateur athletes about the new date and its affect on their schedules.
